Grilled Flank Steak with Mom's Sauce

Clark Frasier's mom used to serve this sauce with grilled salmon, and it's a favorite standby condiment at Arrows restaurant. It is terrific with salmon, but also particularly tasty with flank steak, a flavorful cut of meat. By marinating the steak in the sauce you're adding even more flavor to this delicious cut of meat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 2 Tbs. blanched and chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs. whole-grain mustard
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 lb. flank steak
